VELOURDEN handles a small amount of personal information in order to sell and deliver storage goods to adults aged 18 and over. This page sets out what we collect, why, how long it stays with us and the choices you have. It applies to the website, the checkout, support email and any call you place to the number at the end of this page.

Information we collect

  • Order details: name, delivery address, billing address, email address and telephone number.
  • Order history and contents, so a replacement cradle, pouch or key set can be matched to what you bought.
  • Age confirmation records: the result and time of the 18+ confirmation taken at checkout, retained so a sale can be evidenced as one made to an adult.
  • Payment information: handled by the payment provider. We receive the outcome of a transaction, an order reference and the last four digits of a card, never a full card number.
  • Technical information: the page requested, browser type and the address a request came from, held in server logs for security and fault finding.
  • Correspondence: messages sent to support, including any photograph of a cracked shell or a pulled seam.

Why we use it

To take payment, pack and dispatch an order, answer a question, handle a return where the hygiene rule permits one, keep the accounting records we are required to keep, and keep the site working and free of abuse. Order history is not used to build advertising audiences, and personal information is not sold or rented.

Who else sees it

Payment processors, carriers and the fulfilment partner that packs your parcel see only what their part of the order requires. Providers who host the site and send transactional email act on our instructions alone. The legal identity, postal address and processor list for the operator of this store must be supplied by the operator before this store accepts live orders.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records are kept for the period applicable law requires, and age confirmation records travel on the same schedule so a sale can be evidenced years later. Support messages are deleted after twenty-four months. Server logs rotate after ninety days.

Your choices

You may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion of anything we are not obliged to retain. Write to the address below and allow up to thirty days. California residents may also request the categories of information collected and ask for deletion, subject to the same record-keeping limits.

This store is built for adults. Information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18, and an order is cancelled where the age confirmation fails.
