Using this store

By placing an order with VELOURDEN you confirm that you are 18 or older, that the delivery address is one we are permitted to serve, and that the information you give at checkout is accurate. This store is offered to retail customers in the United States; resale or redistribution of our listings is not authorised.

Orders and acceptance

An order is a request to buy. It is accepted when we send a dispatch confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if an item is unavailable, if the age confirmation at checkout or delivery fails, if the delivery address is outside our service area, or if a pricing or listing error is obvious. Where an order is cancelled before dispatch, nothing is charged.

Pricing and tax

Prices are shown in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout from the delivery address and is itemised on the order confirmation before payment. A price quoted at the time of order is the price that applies to that order. If an obvious error in pricing is found before dispatch, we will contact you and you may cancel without charge.

Shipping

Shipping options, dispatch windows, carrier handling and delivery estimates are described in full in our shipping policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery estimates are estimates and not promises; carriers control the final leg.

Return and refund

The returns and refunds page sets out which items may be sent back, the hygiene rule that applies to opened intimate goods, the condition an item must arrive in and the refund timetable. Nothing in these terms reduces a right you have under applicable consumer law.

Warranty and defects

Storage goods are covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for twelve months from delivery: a seam that opens, a latch that will not hold, a hinge that separates or a gasket that arrives torn. The warranty covers the item as supplied and does not extend to wear from misuse, immersion of a non-waterproof product or damage in transit, which is handled as a damaged shipment instead.

Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for the item concerned, together with any shipping charge. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Misuse of a lock box, such as relying on it as a safe, is outside the scope of what the product is sold to do.

Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, write to support first with the order number; most disputes are settled at that stage. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it is handled under the law of the state in which the operator of this store is registered, and that state’s courts have jurisdiction.
